The D15K 9 Mile Warm-Up Run


The D15K is a long run that starts at Sweet Williams at 5:30pm and arrives back in time for the start of the D5K every Wednesday. This run is almost always on but check the D5K facebook page on Wednesday before you come to make sure.

This run is popular with runners interested in a mid-week long run so that the weekend can be free for racing. We usually have between 4 and 12 runners and end up splitting into two pace groups: one at 7:45 to 8:15/mile and another at 8:30 to 9:00/mile.

The D15K can be easily turned from a 9 miler into a 12, 15, or 18 mile long run by adding on D5K loops. This is a common practice for those gradually increasing their long runs as part of a marathon program.
