No need for a search party anymore, we managed to real in all of our runners this week. Here at the D5K, we embrace the practice of setting records. Most of the time however they are a record you want to set. This week however we set  a new record for “lost runners” The tally was three “unless there is someone still out there running around in circles” On the bright side after a little extra time all three arrived at the finish.

As runners, I feel you are in tune with nature a little bit more than others, spending more time in the elements and all. That being said, can you smell it in the air? Can you feel it on your skin? SPRING. Spring is coming…at about a 6:45 pace, I’d say. The light is lingering a little longer, the mornings are not as Antarctic as usual, and there is new life in the air. So breath it in, and get your lazy butts running faster, I want P.R.’s across the board.

So before I bore you with a tangent about the running yet to come, I will digress to this past weeks Runathalon.

We had 27 Runners this week. 5 of which were first timers at the D5K, and the rest of you lurkers were our regulars or soon to-be-ers.

The Speedy Gonzales Award goes to:

Bret Rickenbauch with a: 19:45.

The Wonder Woman Award goes to:

Annie Rose Willis with a: 22:02.

Our First timers this week were:

Gary Williams

Jessica Settles

Katie Galindo

Lore Chapman

Herbie Howard

Great job to all.

Next weeks run is shaping up to be something pretty interesting. If it all falls into place, it should be pretty cool.

See you then,

adam.
